In January 2022, The Global Conservation Consortium for Oak hosted a free, online identification workshop, focusing on oaks in Texas, Southwest United States. Co-led by Adam Black and Tim Thibault, the workshop provided a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the priority oak species native to this region, providing useful information on how to identify the species out in the field, and more. Presentations and recordings of the workshop can be viewed here.

Botanic Gardens Conservation International’s work aims to promote and develop a more efficient, cost effective and rational approach to plant conservation in botanic gardens. We will do this by leading and advocating, leading innovative and strategic projects, building plant conservation capacity, and providing funding.
