Prof. Fang Du of Beijing Forestry University has created the Oaks of China website to shows her research group’s studies on Chinese oak leaf shape variation, phylogeography and genetic diversity, undertaken in the past ten years. The website includes beautiful photos taken during their field trips, with more than 2500 photos for 25 oak species from 20 Chinese provinces. The aim of the site is to share the group’s data with oak research community worldwide.
Most of the research work in Prof. Fang Du’s group is supported by National Science Foundation of China (grant 41201051; 41671039; 42071060).
Botanic Gardens Conservation International’s work aims to promote and develop a more efficient, cost effective and rational approach to plant conservation in botanic gardens.
